6M fits my 5-month-old at 7kg, and 12M has room on my 1-year-old second. Just buy by age, no guessing. The snaps don't pop open on their own either.

Waffle fabric often shrinks, but after five cold washes the size is unchanged. The pants' waistband hasn't stretched out either. Worn daily as loungewear and it still looks fresh.

Embroidery intact after washing
Worried the flower embroidery would unravel, but washed inside out in a mesh bag it's perfect after four washes. The denim color is unchanged. Clothes like this are great for handing down.
